I think I've thrown up on 3 out of the 4 people here

It's been a couple of weeks since I've posted, but it's because I haven't had time to ease into the semester at all.

Before I forget, I had the greatest winter break of my life. Besides seeing Dizzy Balloon and having an awzm Christmas, I also had family movie nights (Home Alone, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings), got some strikes at bowling, saw my first ever professional basketball game (go Warriors, lol), rang in the new year with some of my best friends, and so much more. I also went on a mini-vacation to LA to visit Tiffo which was something I'd been wanting to do since freshman year. I also learned that I'm not a very good competitive dancer, except for Bollywood style. I am a very good Bollywood dancer.

They couldn't leave dead enough alone.

Fast forward to January 12th and I'm back in Berkeley! I started off the semester by getting the stomach flu from my favorite baby, but other than that everything has gotten on without a hitch.

Old picture, but I couldn't stay mad at this flu-infested baby for long!

My classes are actually really extraordinary this semester. Developmental Psych has a really nice and interesting professor who talks kind of fast but has many worthwhile things to say. French is AWESOME (I'm going to have to present on a reading about hermaphrodites later in the semester) and the prof is funny and a good teacher, for an American anyway. Developmental Psychopathology has been a lot of information, but the professor seems very knowledgeable and somebody told me he might be famous? Gotta look that up. Sociology started out unpromising (I think my prof's ponytail was the indicator), but it has ended up being kind of interesting. And it doesn't hurt that everyone and their mom is in this class. I'm also taking notes for Anthro 1, which means I type as fast as I can everything the professor says. I might get carpal tunnel, but for $25/hour it might be worth it. Will keep you posted.

Cal basketball is becoming even better with Pac-10 play. I didn't think I could yell at the TV more than I do when I watch Jeopardy, but Cal bball that goes down to the buzzer takes the cake. Speaking of Jeopardy, I am the champion.

Azn tutoring hasn't started yet, but classes plus note taking plus advising and research have been keeping me busy. I ran my first subject in the lab today by the way. Let me know if you want to participate in my experiment! It'll be really fun, I promise.

It has been fun being back in town with all of my friends again. I've been eating a lot of great food (no curly fries yet though O____o), staying up very late at night, watching good movies, and discussing the most scintillating of topics such as whether there are black people in New Zealand, fried catfish, and the effects of iPhone auto-correct on Rosie's texting ability. I'm also on a 2-game trolling streak which is quite pathetic, but also a clear indicator that I need to hang out with Anoop more.

Spring semester has been quite the whirlwind so far, but the kind of whirlwind that picks you up and spins you around and makes you feel happy to be alive.
