Trading tears for candy

I've already decided that March is going to be a pretty incredible month, but with a first weekend like that, the remaining 27 days are going to be pretty hard to top.

After a visit at Beat the Clock with some of the usual gang, I took advantage of the fact that sometimes friends will open up their houses and probably even provide drinks for free (my life as a 21 year old has waged war with my wallet). I went with Mon to her friend's birthday party where we did some dancing and mostly hung out with kids wearing suspenders. I then went to my dear friend kland's house where I saw a lot of familiar faces. I realized that I do indeed have a good number of really nice friends and I appreciate the time I am able to spend with them in my young life.

Saturday (white) Katie and I trekked off to the far and fabled land of San Francisco for a daytime Golden Gate Park (Bunny Meadow, holla!) keg-filled outdoor activities adventure. I learned a new way of playing kickball, met a shirtless guitar playing friend, tackled a few people, fell in the mud while trying to catch a football, and so much more. Why did I peak, athletically-speaking, so early? It's embarrassing. We ended up staying the night and going out to some places and I got to see a bit of nightlife in the city that I had not seen previously. Katie's friend KC is the most magnificent hostess and I loved meeting all of her friends.

Today involved a visit down to the farm for some basketball, but I truly don't really want to talk about it. It was a fun weekend for sure, but I'm about ready to PTFO right about now.

PS I wonder if I have any secret readers of this blog? So, I follow so many people on google reader who probably have no idea that I know things about their lives. I wonder how many secret online friends I have who read this? O___O It's probably none, I'm just flattering myself

Vampires and tax evasion

Every time I go up and visit my high school friends in Davis, I wonder why I don't do it more often. I was there for less than 24 hours, but there were so many moments that made me realize why I still keep in touch with these guys. I had pho for the first time (Neri had to teach me how to eat noodles without cutting them first -_-), berated a teenager wearing puka shells at a Harajuku (?) themed party, had a bunch of 'that bread stuff' at an Indian buffet (ethnic food, Rosie!) and finally fulfilled my lifelong dream of walking Neri's dog. Whether we're witnessing an argument about banana peels or talking about the future of our lives ahead of us, these are some true friends.

Why I like video chat

Tiffo: That's not my choice for Friday night giggles
Me: Well, what IS your choice, Tiffany?
Tiffo: Eating chips. While watching...Star Wars

Gaby and I made goody bags filled with candy for our 7th graders on the last day of program over the summer. Marcela didn't show up. Today, I ate Marcela's candy.

I called 911 for the first time today after seeing a kitchen fire on Kittredge. I was sure it had already been phoned in, but after taking so many psych classes this shit has been ingrained in my memory
